Dr. John Collins Warren performs the first surgery without pain as William Morton administers ether.

Mass General's museum showcases more than 200 years of medical innovation, and includes a tour of the Ether Dome, where the first use of ether as a surgical anesthetic took place. Hosted by Betty Murray. Maximum 20 attendees. There is no cost to attend this tour.
